The Food Impostor began during the 2020 lockdown, when founder May Smith — grounded after 14 years in aviation — began sculpting playful food miniatures from polymer clay. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into a thriving brand. Today, we’re still proudly hand-making our signature food-themed art while also curating a growing range of unique foodie merchandise from like-minded makers and brands.

Since 2022, we’ve proudly supported OzHarvest, contributing over 10,000 meals to Australians in need — and counting. Every purchase helps us spread joy through creativity, community, and meaningful giving.
