The Food Impostor began during the 2020 lockdown, when founder May Smith — grounded after 14 years in aviation — began sculpting playful food miniatures from polymer clay. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into a thriving brand. Today, we’re still proudly hand-making our signature food-themed art while also curating a growing range of unique foodie merchandise from like-minded makers and brands.
Since 2022, we’ve proudly supported OzHarvest, contributing over 10,000 meals to Australians in need — and counting. Every purchase helps us spread joy through creativity, community, and meaningful giving.

Great quality and detail. The earrings aren’t too heavy so you can comfortably wear them all day plus they’re adorable.
I absolutely LOVE these earrings! Super light to wear and so so adorable, they look just like miniature fairy bread slices! The simple back is easy to use (I changed mine for a universal ball back) and hasn't tarnished with my skin. Highly recommend! Was a hit at Christmas too 😁

Oh my these earrings are the cutest and no word of a lie a real conversation starter! Whenever I wear them I get so many compliments.
